The short version
Spin Wheel does not collect your data. There is no account, no sign-up and no server. Your wheels, photos, names and spin results are stored on your device and never sent to us, because there is nowhere for them to be sent to — the app contains no networking code and no analytics of any kind.
You can verify this yourself: put the device in Airplane Mode. Everything still works.
What is stored on your device
- Wheels and options — the titles, the options, their colours, and any photos you attach to them.
- Photos — a photo you add to a wheel is copied into the app’s own storage, resized, and used only to draw that segment. The copy is deleted when you remove the option.
- Spin history — what each spin landed on, and when.
- Name Picker roster — the names you last used, so you don’t retype them.
- Settings — your palette, appearance, sound and voice preferences.
All of it lives in the app’s private storage. Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no cloud copy and no way for us to retrieve it.
Permissions the app may ask for
Photos
Only when you add a photo to a wheel. iOS shows you its own picker and hands the app just the images you chose. The app never browses your library.
Microphone and speech recognition
Only while you are using voice control, and only from the moment you start it until the phrase ends. Speech is transcribed on your device whenever iOS supports on-device recognition, which is the case on current hardware and is what the app requests. If a device or language cannot do it on-device, iOS falls back to Apple’s speech recognition service, and Apple’s privacy policy covers that transcription. The app never records, stores or transmits audio itself.
You can decline either of these and keep using everything else.
Apple Watch
Wheels sync between your iPhone and your paired Apple Watch using Apple’s device-to-device Watch Connectivity, which does not pass through us.
Subscriptions
Spin Wheel Premium is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details, and we receive no personal information from the purchase. The app only asks Apple’s on-device StoreKit whether a subscription is currently active.
What we do not do
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or usage tracking
- No advertising and no advertising identifier
- No third-party SDKs of any kind
- No tracking as defined by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency — the app never shows an ATT prompt because there is nothing to ask about
- No accounts, no email collection, no newsletters
- No selling or sharing of data, because none is collected
Children
Spin Wheel is suitable for all ages and is often used in classrooms and by families. Since the app collects no data at all, it collects none from children either.
Your rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on request. Everything is in your hands: deleting the app removes all of it from the device.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
