Common questions
Does it need the internet?
No. Everything works offline — the wheels, the tools, the voice control. There is no account and nothing to sign in to. Airplane mode is fine.
How do I add options to a wheel?
Open a wheel and tap Edit, or swipe down on the wheel list to create a new one. You can type options, paste a list, or tap Dictate options and say them out loud — “pizza, sushi and tacos” becomes three options.
How do I spin without touching the screen?
Three ways. Ask Siri (“spin my wheel”). Tap the microphone on the spin screen and say “spin”, “add pizza” or “remove pizza”. Or spin from your Apple Watch.
The wheel only has two options and looks like a pie
That is the Full wheel setting, and it is on by default: a wheel with a few options repeats them around the rim so it still looks like a prize wheel. The odds are exactly the same — two options are still 50/50 however many times they appear. Turn it off in Settings → Appearance.
Is the spin really random?
Yes. Every spin is a fresh random draw, and no result is weighted or decided in advance. The engine is tested statistically across hundreds of thousands of spins, and every result is recorded in History so you can check the spread yourself.
Can I use my own photos?
Yes. In the editor, add a photo to any option, or use Add photo options to turn several pictures into one option each. Photos stay on your device.
Can I change the colours?
Yes — seven palettes, in light and dark. Pick one when you first open the app, or change it any time in Settings → Theme. You can also set a colour on an individual slice in the wheel editor.
It doesn’t speak the winner
Turn on Settings → Announce winners aloud. VoiceOver users are always told the winner regardless of that setting.
Subscriptions
Spin Wheel is free to download and free to use. Spin Wheel Premium unlocks unlimited wheels, photo wheels, premium palettes and unlimited voice control.
Managing or cancelling
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone to change or cancel one. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Restoring a purchase
New phone, or reset one? Use Restore purchases, on the subscription screen or in Settings → Premium.
Refunds
Refunds are handled entirely by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves, but do tell us what went wrong.
